recent scam calls

Had one of these strange tech support calls a few months ago telling me that they had detected from the internet that my windows PC had a virus, I told them I didn't have a PC and haven't had another call since.

Wish the ones selling PPI were that easy

I had someone ring me up telling me pc was infected ....lol.

After keeping him on the phone for ages he started telling me how i could go and fornicate with my mother....lol

Anybody in the know care to comment if it is possible to mess with the call centre's PC while a virtual connection is open?

They used LogMeIn on our client's PC, so no.

I'm going to class PPI callers as scammers now...becuase they are.

We were getting daily calls from PPI people when I got home for summer, but a week of me being hostile, and not falling into their scripted traps has shut them up

PPI companies are scam companies. PPI can be sorted out with a letter to the bank, with free templates available online. Incredibly easy and if anyone was going to charge anything, it would be at most 3p

I get these calls from time to time. Keep meaning to string them along, pretend i have dial-up so they have to call back inbetween me connecting to the internet or something.
