The Wings of Prey thread got me interested in the idea of a flight-based game. What good ones are there?

I'm interested in Scifi fighter planes, WW2 fighter planes, and modern day ones. I'm not interested in simulators, more arcade style, and the single player content has to be good since I don't mulitplay often.

It'd be nice if they were cheap, too :)

Any suggestions?

Well I have to say that Wings of Prey is pretty darn nice, there should be a demo at some point soon so you can have a try :)

Have a look at Battlefield 1942 for WW2. Along with the Road to Rome and Forgotten Hope mods for some extra fun.

How do you all play these flying games with keyboard or special joystick?

Saitek Cyborg EVO, can adjust the tile/position of everything :p

Not bad for 20 quid.

wireless too.

Saitek Cyborg EVO looks good would you recommed it?. I actually have a sidewinder controller atm, was thinking about the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick but after seeing the saitek version Im in two minds.

yeah i'd recommend it it's amazingly comfortable and the throttle has a very nice feel to it some sort of weird variable resistance that just feels like it is actually driving soming powerful :p

also you can change the position of the palm wrest (or remove it) adjust the left and right tilt of the head, and the vertical tilt of the three buttons underneth the thumb stick. (all with tool-less thumb screws)

a few minutes fiddling and you can have it at the perfect hight and tilt for your hand.
