I don't use it either, as I read on my Kobo, but you can upload books and they will then sync across your Google devices.

Yea I just had a look. Not bad, but I couldn't see a way to upload from the app, only the website, which seemed a bit ****. Also doesn't count towards your Google Drive space which is nice.
