Recommend me a 22" Monitor please

Nope, the dell isn't 120Hz, bog standard 60Hz (though I do believe some people have been getting it to run OK at 75Hz).

The main selling point of the 2209WA is that it uses an e-IPS panel, which is much better than the TN panels used by 99% of all other monitors in this price range. (Here is some info on panel technologies).
Main benefits: Proper 8 bit colours, wide viewing angles, generally looks awesome
Also, the 2209WA has very low input lag and response times, plus no ghosting - so it makes for a wonderful gaming monitor.

This kind of panel is the same type as those used in Apple iMac and Apple Cinema Display monitors. If you get a chance to compare these panels with standard TN LCD screens (in a shop maybe) you will see the difference between the panel technologies, and why they are worth the price premium.

I just received my 2209WA today on the basis of cmndr_andi recommendation. All i can say is that it is unbelievably good. I would say pay a bit extra and be happy knowing you have one of the best 22" monitors money can buy at this price and you wont have to change it for a long time!

edit: just watching bond on blu-ray on it now and have achieved a semi ;)

Apparently you have to install drivers for it?, how would that work if its true, surely you need to plug the monitor in to get it to show windows first, i don't exactly have a spare monitor lying around. The operating system would be Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, so I don't know if that means it'd still need drivers, v.confused.

The 2209WA works fine without any drivers (I know as I set one up a week ago on Win 7 x64).

However if you want the USB hub to work properly you need to install the drivers. This can be done using windows update or the included Driver CD.

I recommend the ViewSonic VX2268wm 120hz monitor.

It has a very low input lag almost like crt and is best to run it at 120hz.

Serious gamers consider these true 120hz monitors and the viewsonic is the one with the lower inputlag compared to the samsung 2233rz .

The input lag on this monitor is lower than all of the 60hz monitors.

People who upgrade from crts go to these true 120hz monitors and the view sonic is the one with the lowest input lag,

Sweet, cheers, I completely forgot you have usb slots on the side of many dell monitors. Yeah I know the 120hz thing, cheers for suggestion liftdaniel, apparently (bearing in mind the card i'd be using would be the 4890 1GB) Ati cards are having real problems on 120hz monitors.
