Looks very matched. Last question for me. The GTX 470 will cope with BF3 fine on high/ultra right?

From what I've seen it should run it fine, depending on res etc. Prob worth asking in the BF3 thread in the games section dude.

Recommended system requirements for Battlefield 3
•OS: Windows 7 64-bit
•Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
•RAM: 4GB
•Graphics card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950.
•Graphics card memory: 1 GB
•Sound card: DirectX compatibl sound card
•Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

nothing yet, but I've got that refurbed GTX 470 in mind, I think I'll order it tomorrow. Powerful card, 1 year warranty and cheap for what I'll be getting. Hopefully my EZCool tornado 750w PSU can handle it :D Should be fine, even thought it's not a great PSU.

Arrived today. Got the PNY one rather than OEM. It's HUGE comrpaed to the 5770, just about fits in the case!

The only thing that has me worried is temperature got to 91C playing BF3, then the game crashed :(

I'm not sure whether it's down to temperature or something else. I know these cards run pretty hot. Is there a manual fan control like on ATI CCC? I don't mind the noise from the PC, so running it at 100% fan speed is ideal for me :)

I'm getting some stuttering while playing too, anyone shed any light on this? Oh and finally, I'm finding it pretty hard reading the letters on the screen when not in game. I know ATI had a feature that turning it on did this but improved gaming performance, I'm sure Nvidia has the same and it's currently on, but I'd like to disable it to improve visuals when browning etc.

Finally, any specific OC recommendations with this card? Upping the voltage a notch to improve stability maybe?

If your worried about the temp of the card then Overclocking is going to boost that even more i wouldnt advise it unless you have some serious cooling in your rig mate.

Yeah that's what I though, I'm happy with the performance of it stock at the moment so for now it'll stay as it is. I meant as in maybe increasing voltage a notch to increase stability.

I got it connected using 1 6 pin pci-e connector and 1 y splitter. PSU is 700w EZcool tornado. It's not the best but *should* be able to cope fine, right?
