Recommend me a Paris Hotel

Rooms are always small in Paris hotels unfortunately. The sofitel in La Defense is very nice but far out as well so not really ideal unless you want to spend 20 mins on the metro everyday getting into town.

We used the Ramada hotel, and had the queen room. It was nice and clean, a lttle small, but had views of the Eiffel Tower from our room which was brilliant. Didnt pay much more than £70 a night, but i think the price has gone up since.

What are you going to do when you are there?

Is it a case of tourist things all day, quick meal and early night, or are you likely to be out late? Do you want a hotel with a bar etc?

The Hotel Ambassador mentioned earlier is nice, but very expensive.

I have stayed here - http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/productInfo.do?propertyCode=93531, on a few occasions, and it is a lot less.

Rooms are small, but clean (recently refurbed). It is 100 yards from the nearest Metro station, and the area around it is fine.

In my experience of Paris, you ain't gonna spend much time in the hotel, save your money and spend it on having a better meal out etc.

I stayed at Ritz Paris for honeymoon, only for a few nights but for their budget room was 600 quid a night.. shame they wouldn't let us in restaurant without a tie :(.

Kinda weird feeling in the place, all staff stood to attention whatever they were doing when you passed them :). Also loads of jap tourists snapping you when ever you enter or leave lol

We were only people there that actually said please and thankyou also, dam snobs!
