It's awesome stuff, and the best cider readily available on tap. It definitely does have strange effects though...:D

Weston's Extra Strong Scrumpy is ok too, just not quite so tasty/dangerous.
 
I used to drink cider a lot but most of the main brands seem to have changed over time and I've gone off most of them. I still like Merrydown Dry and Katy, some of the Westons are OK and Frome Valley seemed good last time I tasted it.
 
If you can tolerate pear cider then I'd definitely giver Kopperberg a try or Kiss cider, both Scandinavian of some descent. Both perfect for a nice cool one after work :D
 
Mikehunt speaks the truth, Stowford Press all the way! Great cider that, or Weston's farmhouse scrumpy, good stuff.
Kopparberg is a nice drink but I always feel somewhat... dirty when drinking it =/ not sure why
 
I have fallen in love with Jacques 'Fruits des Bois' (fruits of the forest) recently. It comes in 750ml bottles, and is 5.5%. It slips down so easily, you almost forget it's alcoholic at times! ;):cool:

Does anyone find that if you drink cider all night its a different kind of drunkeness? The women of my missuses family arn't allowed to drink cider apparently as it makes them all uncontrollably violent :/

To many pansy cool cider drinkers in this thread. Or perhaps if you don't live in the west country you only get fomented puke in the form of blackthorn, strongbow and the like all absolutely disgusting drinks.

I'm quite partial to a Dunkertons or a Black Fox. Waitrose do a 3l box of Westons Organic. Perfect for the fridge and a very nice tipple. You used to get Stowford Press on draught quite a bit but I haven't seen it for ages, that was really nice.

I'll tell you something to stay away from, Old Rosie. Left me feeling like four different types of crap in a one crap bag.
