Recommend me some trance?

Do not post links to mixes, suggestions as to where to you have uploaded them or invites to contact for invitiation

suspensions will follow if this rule is breached

If you post saying you have made a mix and what it consisted of then that is fine ( as krooton has done recently ) but any links, hints of links etc are not allowed

It's taken me ages, but I've finally gotten there, lol

I guess since it was deleted overnight i can't say. Kind of reminds me of the government, if you've not got a good enough answer to a question, get rid of the question

The Trance Discussion Thread

Well basically while I love most types of music besides rap and heavy metal... one of my great loves has always been dance music. I'm not really into the harder stuff like Drum n' Bass, Hard House etc, but I have a real passion for trance, primarily the euphoric stuff that they used to play at the biggest clubs at the time when trance really was at its peak 1997-2001. Songs like Binary Finary - 1998 and Moonman - Transcendental... Paul Van Dyke - For an Angel to name only a couple.

Anyway I got hold of a load of DJ Tiestos sets and tracks the other day and I have to say he's absolutely awesome... plays some very good tracks with some even better mixes.

Anyone else into trance, and any DJ's/songs they particularly like?:)

Massive trance fan here although i prefer the harder, techier, more energetic side of the genre. Think along the lines of Eddie Halliwell, John O'Callaghan, Brian Kearney, Marcel Woods etc. There seems to have been quite an abundance of decent tracks from the past couple of months which bodes well for the rest of 2007!

I'm really looking forward to hearing more from a few artists that are relatively new to me. Maarten de Jong produces some horribly boshy trance - i love it and can't wait to hear more. Ali Wilson produces kind of a blend of trance and techno that's always very energetic. Wardt who is one of Sander van Doorn's prodigies is producing some good stuff. Mark Sherry is very much at the front of current tech trance and last year was a superb year for Re:Locate, i love his productions and he was equally as impressive when i saw him DJ.

Andy - I think we should keep this thread alive the last one has died a bit with the constant whinging about copyright issues

I didn't realise it was out yet? I was thoroughly unimpressed by his latest track 'The Bass' though, simply put it's boring although the Wardt remix is somewhat better.
