Hence why it taken me over 6 months to amass enough tracks I really like just for 1 mix. I'm getting so picky in my old age, and hate most tech-trance and electro-trance.

Actual hard trance I used to like many years ago, and found a handful of tracks I really liked last year, but on the whole, hard trance/dance/house has died a death, lol.
I used to prefer the more energetic trance, but most of the newer stuff all sounds the same, or too much like some old track.
Faster stuff I like in the past year:

I think I've just been listening to it for so long that my ears are too used to it, and nothing stands out.
But as I only got into psy in 2006, I have TONNES of unheard tracks to delve through

I can certainly relate to this although it's less for energetic trance and more for 'fluffy' trance. The exact same synths and drum rolls and oversized breakdowns all start rolling into one after a while!
