Recommend me some trance?

Anyone bought Dave Pearce's new album? just got it off I-Tunes... i'm only 4 tracks in and in love :D

It looks exactly the same as every other trance classics cd i've ever seen. I will, however, give him credit for including this:

Poloroid - So Damn Beautiful (Dogzilla Mix)

Heck of a tune, does anyone know a (legal) download site that i can this from? I've checked the usual places... bp, tid, aj etc

Congratulations dude!

Where was it at? Many people there? Will you be playing again? Any major screw ups!? :D

It was a new psy-trance night at Club Union in Vauxhall

Empty at the start, but the last half an hour of my 2 hour set had about 50 people throwing shapes on the dancefloor :D

Mate took 2 videos as well which I will upload when I get the time.

I've had very positive reviews from a number of people, so playing for them again is definitely on the cards :)

No major screw ups, though one of my transitions was pretty ropey, but no one else seemed to notice, lol!

-----------------------------

As i said to another member, this mix is a celebration of the kind of music i love, both in style and in individual tracks that i have stood out for me in clubs and house parties over the past few years. It's very upbeat and energetic, rarely slowing in pace and with no time for intros/outros or long breakdowns! I've tried to keep a reasonable balance of new tracks from the past month or 2, some of the picks from the past 3 years and of course a couple of genuine classics. As well as trance i've drifted towards techno in places, again a reflection of my home listening.

I bought myself some decks just before Christmas and i would have loved to have recorded the mix on them, but the poor quality of my mixer and the lack of time to practise made me opt for Ableton. It's probably worth saying this is my first Ableton mix for about 9 months or so, i have to say it's a bloody fun program to use.

This was very much a mix for myself and whether anyone else like it or not, it doesn't matter because i ****ing love it :)

Cheers fella, glad you enjoyed it :) Getting a lot of good feedback from it, its very much the 'slowerish' side of trance, but still has some pounding basslines and synths in there, thought I'd deviate from the abundance of 140bpm stuff for a change as this is more what I like to play.

Definately say the 130-135bpm region is my style of play; the Andy Moor, Ashley Wallbridge, Gareth Emery, Myon & Shane54, Lange, Sander, Armin, and Roth style of stuff, but i'll dip into 138-140 for some Oceanlab/Above & Beyond, Sean Tyas, Patterson etc.
