....a non-SSD SATAIII drive to complement my SSD boot drive. To be used for storage/games etc.
Preferably a 1TB 3.5" drive please.

Samsung F3 1Tb.

Best value HDD there is at the moment. Fastest mechanical HDD, not including the extortionately priced WD Caviar Black which is almost twice the price for slightly faster.

That's SATAII, is it as fast or faster than SATAIII drives then?

Mechanical HDDs don't even come close to being restricted by SATA II ports, let alone SATA III.
