zero wing on the megadrive just for the intro alone and the dodgy translation, although it is actually a decent shooter

Depends how retro you want to go, the original xbox was fantastic at the time, i remember Halo, splinter cell and red dead revolver were all fantastic at the time

i really would not bother with older games

Never played any of the MGS series.. tried once but didn't like the layout. Then the open world MSG the Phantom Pain came out...one of the best games I've ever played and one I'll never forget....even went as far as googling the actress who quiet was modelled on..& she's just as cute! (Don't tell the wife).

I absolutely loved Giants: Citizen Kabuto, such a great mixture of gameplay genres and loaded with humour too.
