What problems are you experiencing exactly?

TheVoice said:Interesting thread. Looking for an ISP for our student house that I'm moving into in 3 weeks. Still stuck on an ISP - obviously we want one that's reliable, has a decent usage limit (I use internet radio a lot which chews through that quickly enough), but obviously can't be hugely expensive. Had been looking at Nildram, but seems they're not so good.
Eclipse seem decent, will keep them under consideration. Might be a stupid question, but what do people think of the "mainstream" ISPs like AOL? They're offering unlimited usage for a decent price.

I dunno, that's not exactly cheap, they're for a 12 month contract too.JonRohan said:At those prices they aren't going to last long.
£35.99 is £1 more than Ace charged for 'uncapped'. They're now on 40Gb/month. Unlimited on BT IPStream can cost £100s a month to the ISP. It's just not feasable.Phnom_Penh said:I dunno, that's not exactly cheap, they're for a 12 month contract too.
Fair one, although some companies got away with it. I think the main problem is the introduction of max, which has increasd the download limit from about 600gb to like over 1.2Tb.csmager said:£35.99 is £1 more than Ace charged for 'uncapped'. So, my setup, which has the master socket, then a splitter, which has 2 cables, one goes to a filter with sky/phone in it, the others an extension to a bedroom, which has 2 connectors, ones a filter w/phone, the other the 2nd extension, which goes to my room, where theres filter with phone & router plugged into it.tolien said:If you buy a filtered master socket, you don't need filters (unless you're connecting the phone extensions to the unfiltered ADSL side, which defeats the point of the filtered master faceplate).
