Hi folks,
I have an old Sony Vaio that was my trusty travel mate for a fair while, just used for uploading photos too.
Cut a long story short, it was replaced, did nothing, was used again, now doesn't turn on at all (or show any signs of life), which wouldn't be a problem if i used it. However i recently found i'de lost an original photo and think i may have a copy on the laptop drive.
I don't know if all sony laptops are like this but all the devices are almost hot swappable it seems. You can just clip off the bottom sides and the battery, optical drive and hardrive all slide out. However at the end of the hardrive are a load of pins that i suspect only fits in whatever is inside the laptop. It's not IDE and it's definately not SATA (Bit before that!).
Anyone have any ideas? I can take the laptop apart further if need be..
