Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Serious question:

How the **** do you set a PS4 Pro to stay on installing/downloading while unattended???

I came home at lunch to start the install and set everything going - even went into the power saving settings and made sure the PS4 didnt turn itself off after a set amount of time and went back to work.

Come home from work fully expecting disk 1 to have finished and the PS4 is off and the install progress bar is still sat on about 10%!?!?!? WTF?!?!?

I left mine and went on my on my pc and it installed fine.

Are you sure it's not done and asking for the second disc?

Nope - definitely only 10-15% of the way through the 1st disk!:mad::mad:

I genuinely thought I'd done everything right in setting the system not to turn off after so many hours - there must be another setting somewhere!

I accidentally pressed B and punched a newspaper seller. I accidentally hit the bloke I wanted to talk to. He tried to hit me back so I floored him. Seemed fair. Sheriff sent out a search party. Killed two then died. Absolutely gutted I died, was really trying to play the game without dying. All because the control sensitivity and change of action buttons is uber annoying. Played dominoes instead. Whooped her 62 vs 34.

reminds me of the time I threw a guy of a cliff then picked some wild carrots to relax. Still felt guilty so chopped some wood and put $50 in the camp coffers.

I accidently punched my horse in the head earlier (Geordie style yo) and the bugger ran away, took me ages to catch him :p

X1 is a better bet, better for cross platform games and every PS4 exclusive so far have been way overrated.

I have no reason to get an xbox1, no exclusives for it of note for me, and also is no budget, the pro is partially paid for by selling the PS4.

I can barely justify the PS4 pro, its just my tech addiction, that wants the niggly upgrades like AC wifi, proper wired controller support and better cpu, I wont be using it on a 4k display.

My spare SNES mini is up on ebay and will put the PS4 up with a reserve, if I get combined £200 I will pull the trigger on the PS4 pro.

I've heard the shooting is a bit dodgy. One guy said do this to improve it...

For aim:
Turn aim acceleration all the way up
Turn dead zone all the way down to minimise lag

For character movement:
Change control scheme to 'standard FPS'
Set run to toggle

What adjustments mate?

These ones mate, might try them now actually.

I turned aim sensitivity up as well as the acceleration. Seems quick and easy to move/aim now.

Kept the controls on standard though.

Think i'll try the above but keep the running the same. Might not get on with FPS but I've been playing TR and AC the past two weeks.

The aim definitely needs sorting out though

HDR doesn't seem as good as I thought it'd be, not sure if my TV settings need tweaking or if this game is best played with HDR off? Colours seem a bit washed out.

Samsung TV? Mine feels to bright if I change from HDR now. I usually set HDR and then on the TV change the brightness to 60 from 40.

I noticed this too, but changed my Samsung's picture mode from movie (which was properly calibrated) to dynamic and now it looks incredible.

Resisting the urge to download this until I move and set up the new 65” B7 with it.

Proving very difficult though going by the majority of the comments/videos I’m seeing...

Mine arrived. Yodel from Game. Seemingly unscathed.

Looking quite lush on me old Dell U2711 at 1440p. Took forever to install from disc and was a bit concerned at the loud drive noise at first. It settled down though and Disc 2 was virtually silent during the install.

The extras for the horse and kit are a minimal download. The patch was 3.65 gb and took a bit longer but once done no probs.

All I need to do now is configure the controller into something resembling Mouse and Keyboard. The standard configuration is fubar (to my deeply entrenched FPS brain)
