*** Red Dead Redemption 2 ***

Trailer looks excellent but I will be very surprised if it ends up looking that good come release (like all early trailer cinematics..).

The trailer doesn't look much better than GTAV on PC. It is clearly the same tech, just with nicer sky texture and slightly more advanced lightning.
I fully expect the game to be released on all three platforms, PC will be announced after console versions are out, I expect release around june 2018.

I agree with Paul, looks like a slightly vamped up GTA V, which is honestly beautiful as it is! So going from that trailer, I reckon it could easily look like that. And this is R*, they don't mess around with trailers and graphics dumb downs.

I can't see a console achieving those graphics, so hopefully the trailer is from a PC :D

Wouldn't get my hopes up for this being released on PC when Redemption wasn't.

With GTA, we can always be sure it'll come to PC at some point but we never ever got the slightest hint of RDR port being in the works and it's been around six years.

Thankfully, I grabbed a PS4 a couple of days ago;p

If they believe there is a market for the game on PC, then it will be released. The fact that its predecessor wasn't released for the platform is irrelevant when you consider the technical issues that existed with the games code. It simply wasn't financially viable to construct a pc version.

6 years is a long time in gaming and a lot has changed. Steam has grown exponentially, serving more customers than it did in 2010, and more so, Rockstar now have a platform from which to judge the viability of an rdr 2 pc release, that being GTA V and it's enduring success.

Short - it will be released.

That doesn't count for much really, it happens quite often e.g. MGS games.

Yeah, I get it, it's not an absolute indication but in case of MGS we still got MGS1, 2, Revengeance and 5, whereas none of the past Red Dead games came to PC.

It makes sense for them to release it at some point but it could be 2-3 years later like with GTA V. However, they might still announce that the PC version is already in the works somewhere down the road as the release date is eons away.
