Red Dead Redemption 2

I've never pre-ordered from cdekeys before, do they let you know when the key is ready or do you have to keep checking. Also, can't find anywhere within my account to see keys, I have the link in the email but thought they'd show somewhere else.
the email link will lead you to the info when is ready to be downloaded, instead of saying "This product is a Pre-Order, it will be available here on or slightly before the release date of 5th November 2019."

I find this game so relaxing as well. Just plodding along on my horse admiring the views is awesome. Can’t wait to see what it looks like on PC.
That sounds a lot better than the games that have irritating boss fights that are so difficult to get past to continue the game

This is what I'm looking forward to, just plodding around, occasional shoot outs, drowning people, leaving whoever or whatever on train tracks etc yes, I'm sick. :p

Given GTA V runs beautifully with a few tweaked settings @4k for me bearing in mind I've got many mods and re-shaders I think (hope!) I won't struggle, I played GTA V at launch fine with an old GTX 580, Q8300 and 8Gb I've now got a 4790 (non k), 32GB RAM and a 1080ti with it downloaded onto an SSD so out of the box at least I reckon I'll be good to go.

I've been minded to downgrade my 1080ti for something like a 980ti plus £200 which I've been offered (I just don't game anywhere near enough to justify it sitting in my PC largely at idle) but I'm now thinking the 1080ti will get a lot of use with this.....

Exploring in first-person is much better on PC thanks simply to well implemented mouselook. Pad controls are borderline sluggish, seemingly to give your actions a sense of heft that fits Red Dead Redemption 2's methodical pacing. It's great to be able to quickly look where I want to without dragging my view around with a stick. It also means you can play the game as a legitimate FPS.

Nexus18 eat your heart out! :p

No need to as I already stated that a while back ;) :D

Response times will be quicker but that isn't going to speed up the slow animations/movement of the game. The perks of the joysticks on the controllers is that it helps with that fine smooth control when moving and riding a horse, imo anyway. Much like GTA 5 when driving, flying and running about, a controller just felt right, just have to go back and look at the gta 5 thread to see all the crying over the controls in that game when using K+M :D

People seem to think this game will be like quake with a K+M lol.

Of course if it is anything like GTA 5 with regards to switching from 3rd person to first person view then the movement, aiming and animation feel/control will be a lot quicker/more snappy.

Reminds me a bit of assassins creed origins and odyssey when it came to animation and movement, people went on about odyssey feeling better for movement, combat etc. because it was incredibly snappy/quick, that largely ruined it for me as it was too arcadey then. Origins was more "clunky" as the animations were slower and everything felt like it had weight, this was much better for that style of game imo.

Did people actually play GTA 5 in 1st person too?!

Sure it looked nice at times for certain things but 3rd person for this type of game is far better.

Also, thanks for confirming that 3rd person view on PC will still be like running in mud when using a controller :p

By the sounds of it, I suspect in 3rd person view with M + K, it will still be the same too.

Enter the code Halloween and once paid got the key straight away and just entered it in the rockstar launcher

So I've taken a bit of a back seat these past few years with pc releases, usually picking games up a couple of years later but I'm a sucker for cowboys and RDR1 is in my top 5. How well do you think my pc will run this currently rocking a dusty old i5 3570K, GTX 970 with 8gb of Ram...

Am I going to have to convince my significant other that I need to shell out for an upgrade?

Yes you may have to.

Gtx 970 has 4gb vram (3.5gb arguably) btw. Unless you meant system ram. I used to have two 970s in sli they were beasts!
