Red Dead Redemption Thread

Cant believe someone is bidding £26 for the Limited Edition DLC stuff on ebay, you can get LE for £50 so if they got the game for £30 cheapest in the country they will pay over £60 for the standard plus LE content.
 
My LE horse got killed :( Restarted from a save to get it back. Can you get it back any other way?

Loving this game spent half a day on it so far. Thanks for the lasso tip wondered why I couldn't hog tie anyone :)

I find my self talking in a western accent all the time now :p Anyone else do that?
 
Absolutely loving this so far. Its been a long long time since I have played a game all day.

So apart from the occasional fag break and food I have played for a total of 7hrs 39m and only done 26.1%

What a great game.
 
I've been side tracked by me Doris. :(
Am a sucker for me women though so I don't mind, She ain't moaned about me PC being on. :D

For your horse press select to bring up the inventory and then use the war horse certificate to get another one.

Missions :confused:
I'm roaming the Wastelands looking for people to shoot in the face which is broken up by the odd animal slaughtering/skinning. Am I s'posed to be doing owt else Gringo ??? :D
 
Had a quick session of this today on PS3, was expecting to be dissapointed with framerate, bad graphics as everyone has been saying. But I actually ended up lolling a few times at how wrong they were. Looks amazing, so much sharper than GTA4 and only had a small framerate problem when I'm in towns, in the desert it's perfec, and I'm guessing thats where I'll be spending most of my time.

Can't wait to play this again.
 
What i like about this is the little 'surprises' that come along every so often. Really enjoyed today's session, now its time to hitch my horse and setup camp.

I don't remember anybody saying the PS3 version had bad graphics, just that the 360 version had the edge. Anybody saying the former is stupid.
 
As said above the 360 has the edge in Resolution, AA and frame rate but there is nothing wrong with the PS3 version.
 
It gets better the more missions you do and once you reach a new area - see the spoilers thread if you're interested.
