Ooooh that was fun, I love how after killing a bounty (Yes, I meant to :D) his cronies come after you every few mins, so I had a ride around with the occasional face shooting, have to confess to horsie slaughter on one occasion to see how the dude fell off! :D

Just had my first shootout before turning it off, planted shots in both arms, both legs, chest, head and 2 in the crotch :D I think he lost! :D

im loving the game so far. not sure if i like it better than GTA4 but im not very far in.
 
picked this up today. little bit slow to start but now that i have got the hang of the controls im really enjoying the methodical pace of everything, there are of course gta comparisons and thats fine but rdr feels so fresh to me with all the open areas and wildlife, makes it feel much more adventurey? anyway seems good so far glad i picked it up
 
What is the benefit of playing free roam and unlocking stuff etc and choosing your character then when you go play in an online gold rush or gang match etc to just be a totally different character and lose all your stuff? Seems a bit strange to me, can't find the answer.

Loving the game, but its just that part of MP that feels disjointed...unless I am missing something
 
I got this delivered yesterday. Played around 3 hours last night and have done a handful of missions and a fair bit of roaming. At first, I was a bit let down after all the hype, but once I got into it a bit, oh man it's is so rewarding to play. I keep wanting to go back to it! It is like reliving the boyhood games with toy pistols etc. except now I can shoot horses off cliffs etc. without going to jail :)

Well there's a reason not to pirate, if I've ever heard one. :rolleyes:

This is the first game I've bought on release in ages, and am enjoying it so much. I only decided to buy it yesterday, so I had some fun trawling through every shop in town trying to find a copy. :D
 
i want to play this game as a bad mofo but is it even possible?

Evrey mission im doing is giving me honour. IF i want to play as bad it mens i can not do any of the random missions as they just give me honour as well.


As soon as i start shooting the place up i have to pay a god damn bounty so how the hell can you play bad? Its like missing half the game
 
Anyone else unfolded the map, looked at it for 2 seconds, then attempted to fold it back up neatly and nicely like the way it came but ended up getting frustrated with it then just squashed and jammed it back into the case?

Oh, and this was after sniffing the map/booklet. Dunno if that counts for anything.

Haha yeah I did! Never understand how those things fold back without it messing it all up!

How the hell do you work our the treasure maps (in game)?

I dont really know but my map has a tree with a noose on it. I suppose i have to wander around trying to find this tree out of 450 billion.
 
I have that map when I play tonight I will look around hanging rock as I think that is one of the locations.

I sniffed the manual too, a lovely smell.:o
