Red Sea / Houthi rebels situation

It’s the Marlin Luanda, which is owned by Trafigura, a big multinational based in Singapore. The ship’s probably crewed by a mix of Eastern Europeans, Indians and Filipino’s, and she’s registered in the Marshall Islands. A few of the crew might be Russians, but that would be about it for her connection to Russia. Seeing her route on Marine Traffic (Greece to Singapore), she was quite possibly empty at the time. Lots of tankers just sit off Singapore at anchor ‘for orders’, meaning they’ll just be waiting there for their next cargo.

Situation with the carriers is maddening - given how much we've spent we might as well go for broke.

It was a simple question with a simple answer, Yes or No for most people. The framing is based around Blackstone's Ratio where the question of "is it better to punish 1 innocent man than let 10 guilty go free" has been used in various forms for over 1000 years to spark discussion (the thing a forum is here for) on morality, justice etc and an answer can help identify traits such as Authoritarianism through to Pacifism, although I'm not sure it's been called "moronic" with such vehemence before.

Also I notice you didn't actually give an answer though, which could have sparked more discussion, but thats OK it was a hard one I guess.

Let's build a few more hospitals, schools, train nurses and doctors and then.... Maybe think about increasing our spend. Personally I think we spend enough - but we need to be smarter and not waste so much (Ajax).

For some dumb reason those idiots decided to attack in October and as a result, they've gotten absolutely wrecked in return... will they ever learn? Probably not if they're already keen on indoctrinating the next generation of terrorists.

Not a Christian, but have spent some time in Israel (was dating an Israeli girl) and have toured all the usual, and some unusual, holy sites. Never had an issue, was treated just fine.

May have something to do with the fact that only 2 Type 45’s are operational, Diamond and Duncan. Obviously Diamond’s in the Red Sea, so it’d mean that the UK’s only other operational air defence ship at the minute would have to leave UK waters to escort a hypothetical deployment of either Queen Elizabeth or Prince of Wales to take on the Houthi’s.

What does it matter if they cant crew them anyway :cry: Navy' biggest issue is lack of manpower at the moment.
