It’s the Marlin Luanda, which is owned by Trafigura, a big multinational based in Singapore. The ship’s probably crewed by a mix of Eastern Europeans, Indians and Filipino’s, and she’s registered in the Marshall Islands. A few of the crew might be Russians, but that would be about it for her connection to Russia. Seeing her route on Marine Traffic (Greece to Singapore), she was quite possibly empty at the time. Lots of tankers just sit off Singapore at anchor ‘for orders’, meaning they’ll just be waiting there for their next cargo.
