The ship’s probably crewed by a mix of Eastern Europeans, Indians and Filipino’s, and she’s registered in the Marshall Islands. A few of the crew might be Russians, but that would be about it for her connection to Russia. Seeing her route on Marine Traffic (Greece to Singapore), she was quite possibly empty at the time. Lots of tankers just sit off Singapore at anchor ‘for orders’, meaning they’ll just be waiting there for their next cargo.

It was a simple question with a simple answer, Yes or No for most people. The framing is based around Blackstone's Ratio where the question of "is it better to punish 1 innocent man than let 10 guilty go free" has been used in various forms for over 1000 years to spark discussion (the thing a forum is here for) on morality, justice etc and an answer can help identify traits such as Authoritarianism through to Pacifism, although I'm not sure it's been called "moronic" with such vehemence before.
