Red Sea / Houthi rebels situation

Unless the US/UK/Israel start going after the political and military leadership of the Houthi, and start hitting Iranian supply ships (covertly or not), not a lot will change with these punitive actions I feel.

Now, I doubt the US/UK would do that, but Israel obviously doesn't give a crap about trying to appear proportional in their response and might actually have the balls to actually stop the Houthis leadership from making further stupid choices, once they all start getting drone-striked every time the dare to fire a drone at Israel, because no matter how fervent someone might be when their life isn't at a direct risk, once you actively target someone AND tell them that you are coming for them, being a martyr suddenly doesn't seem such a good idea.

The Houthis and their supporters are gagging for a war with Israel, and hope this will result in a pan-Arab conflict that destroyes the Jewish state. They're utterly delusional, but it's helpful to be reminded that the Arabs' goals for the Middle East have never changed.
The problem for Israel will be if they go for all out war with Hezbollah and the Houthis then I’m sure Iran will encourage another proxy to attack them too. They’d be stretched quite thin in that case.

Lmao claiming Hamas is too strong for Israel

Hamas only still exists because Israel tries not to kill civilians; if all restrictions were removed from day one and they treated the war like in Ukraine then Hamas would have been wiped out in a couple weeks

Not gonna happen. Israel won't go for all out war with Hezbollah and the Houthis. She doesn't even need to.

The Houthis have managed to hit Israel with a grand total of *checks notes* one drone, and Israel has responded with overwhelming force. It's like swatting a mosquito, Israel can do this day and night without breaking a sweat.

Hezbollah doesn't have the strength to invade Israel, their role is to needle at the northern border and prevent Israeli incursions into Lebanon.

Yet nothing will change because Iran will still be pumping in new armaments which for some inexplicable reason nobody seems to want to stop.

A transport ship disappeared a few days ago, I suspect that was linked.

I’m sure there are more.

It’s only a matter of time until Gaza is wrapped up and they move to create a buffer in Lebanon, although they seem to be doing that with missile strikes anyway.

I don't get why it wasn't one of the first targets tbh. Unless is it also a civilian port?

Yup, UK/US operations have been focused strictly on military targets only AFAIK.

Israel after an Israeli died wanted to send a message so - a huge explosion at the port, a power station bombed etc.. basically bombing essential infrastructure and dual-purpose stuff.
