Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink and Black. It's the General Snooker Thread!

Just seen it will be a Trump Vs Ding final, latter beat Robertson to mean the Aussie has to qualify for Crucible for first time in years.

Difficult to call who’ll win that! Will Ding crumble under pressure from the home crowd?

Trump wins the title 10-4, he's such a serial tournament winner on the tour these days that his record in the triple crown events is a bit bafflingly poor! Should have more than 1 world title by now.

Pretty much wall-to-wall snooker for the next 5 weeks or so. Starting tomorrow with the Mixed Doubles thingy, then the Player's Tour whatits, next it's on to Crucible qualifying (which I assume is going to be on Discovery+ with commentary) and then the Crucible itself. Yippee. :D

It looks like they’ve all got a square of tape in their shirts in the centre of their chests. I wonder if a sponsor hasn’t paid.

Glad that’s over and done with. It was the right result but the whole tournament was just painful to watch.

Nice to see Ronnie hammering Ali Carter and watching Ali getting more and more annoyed.

/edit - and that didn’t take long to wrap up.

It's tight, but I think ref (Collingwood?) incorrectly called a foul against Wilson in sixth frame, saying he hit red (which he potted) and pink at same time. Ronnie then won frame to make it 4-2.

Wilson got a big roar from crowd when he returned and then played two good frames to finish session level.

Tony Knowles in the audience. My first thought “Is he high?” :)

Ronnie made hard work of this with Wilson. It’s been close all the way through but he’s done it now.

Missed the afternoon session today, didn’t expect to see that score when I just switched over.
