Never test drove a Z4 before I bought the 3.0i or my current Z4MC. Oddly, I did test drive my old RX-8 and A3, though.

Would quite fancy comparing Z4MC to a Cayman S, though.

It's not about how much he posts, that has nowt to do with it, but he seems able to recall stuff from years back, I honestly can't remember who posted what 3 months back.

I just got refused a test drive today too. Went to a Polar Ford last week in Barnsley and the salesman was very helpful with helping me arrange a test drive on a Fiesta ST, and arranged to call me when they got one in.
Went to Polar Ford in Castleford today and they said I couldn't as I wasn't old enough (20) and the salesman didn't seem all that interested in selling it me either, needles to say they can get stuffed when I come to purchase in the next month or two, just lost out on a genuine potential £6k sale. Good job that man.

Get down to Ford GK in Chesterfield. They'll be happy to let you have a test drive if they have one in.

Would go private for a ST though as the prices are really low lately where as garages are not.

There's one currently at 3700 at a dealership in Sheffield which ii may go check out. It's the red one on PH and it looks very tidy from the pics. I just want to drive one to make sure I like it before committing to one but it's seemingly very difficult

They should let you test drive it. Don't know how garages make sales if they don't let people test drive the car.

If not come over and take mine for a spin if you are covered.

I got told I couldn't test drive my new car two times by the same salesperson as it was a limited edition vehicle.

Went to another dealership of the same company (different location), had a test drive booked immediately.

I think it was because this guy thought I wasn't serious as I'm 23 and was looking at a brand new car that was something other than their bog-standard range. The guy who gave me a test drive was a lot younger than the guy who told me I couldn't, perhaps something to do with that perception. Turned out I bought the very car I test drove from them, making the first dealer look a bit of an idiot tbh.

That's a shame.

Looked at the ST advert. You should go see it, looks like a good deal and you get 3 months warranty which a peace of mind. Just let them know you have cash ready so they know your not a dreamer.
