Reinstall Windows to replace Boot SSD?

I cloned recently and whilst I was able to boot up ok, the ssd alignment was incorrect. If you're going to clone, make sure you read up on ssd alignment. Not all cloning software correctly aligns the HD.

In the end it was just easier to do a clean format which I'm glad I did.

Humm, will prob go for clean install then... wanted to be a little lazy but looks like it's better to put the effort in and avoid problems further down the line.

Going through the switch over now, should i be making a full system image and then installing windows on the new drive? From there i can restore the image to the new drive and all should be the same as before right?

No my plan was to do a fresh install and then restore parts from a backup. Just wondering how much i can backup? user files is easy, but what about installed programs?

ARGGHHGHGH!!!! Just made a massive F up. I added a 3TB with my new 256 SSD to give me more space. The plan was to move all the stuff like dekstop, documents, music, videos, to the big drive for storage. moved all that i needed apart from desktop into the same file structure, then when i move the desktop folder it goes and overwrites the folder F:/Users/Adam the place where all the other folders were. Now i cant seem to re organise!!!!!! HELP!
