Remaps, worth it??

Is this recent? I was under the impression that it was fine on diesels as they only test smoke, not emissions?

"The vehicle will automatically fail the MOT test if the filter had been fitted as standard but is found to be no longer present."

That rule is now in place as of Feb 2014.

Get round it by removing insides of particulate filter instead of changing it out for a "decat pipe"

remapping offers fantastic gains on any forced induction engine, and is definitely worth the outlay,


word of caution though, do your research and use someone who knows what their doing. theres a lot of cowboys out there peddling other peoples maps who don't have a clue. a laptop and a stock of maps a tuner does not make. try some marque specific forums or our very own in motors for advice on who to look at for mapping and you wont go far wrong.
