Does any one else seem to remember dreams / know they are having one just before they are about to wake up?

Always happens to me. Ill be having a dream (not telling you about what :p ) and as im going through it ill realise in my dream that im dreaming and that means that something is going to wake me up so then I get up and then say a few secs later people will start speaking outside my room or my phone will go off or I need to go to the toilet.

Its very strange indeed especailly when i wake up before something happens that would wake me up...

Also I only seem to be able to remember dreams when this happens aswell. Any other time I canny remember them.

Im definatly a freak now, yes?

No, realising you are dreaming is the first step to being a lucid dreamer, ive taught myself to lucid dream for over a year now.

When you realise your're in a dream, do things like rub your hands together, touch things, stablelize the dream, then you are "awake inside your dream" and can do anything you want , yes ANYTHING.

I know theres more people on this forum that can lucid dream as well.

Interesting Camalot. I shall read about it more when I come back with my take away.

I should now be able to run fast in my dreams. :)

i want to lucid dream, read a few things on the net trying to teach how to, but just can't do it!!

i've only had one lucid dream.. ever. but couldn't really do anything, and woke up shortly.

Aha!

Now i was having an interesting dream and realised i was having one, woke up and thought screw getting out of bed and went back to sleep...

Thing is, the moment i was asleep the dream "carried on" as it were

So is that this lucid dream lark your chatting about?

I'm quite fortunate where I can dream, wake up (say turn alarm clock off or what-have-you), turn over and carry on with the dream. Don't know if this is a lucid dream or not, but it's good fun.

"Don't think you can, know you can"

Its all about confidence, go to bed and believe you will have one, and your chances increas 50% (in my experience). Most people will have their first real lucid by just reading about it. Keep a dream diary no matter what. This will improve the dream recall (it really works). Theres no point having a lucid dream and forgetting it in the morning.:p

If you were in controll and aware in the dream, then yes.

Example of a lucid dream is suddernly realizing you are dreaming, doing techiques to stable the dream, then you have full controll over this new life like world thats all coming from your head. It will be as real as you sitting on your chair reading this forum. For some people its even more real than that. The world you create around you will mimic the real world to an extent, but just like the matrix, you can do anything you want limited only by your imagination, there is nothing you can't do in a lucid dream.

Most males learn lucid dreaming so they can have sex with anyone they like :p

Whenever my friend falls asleep, i can talk to her and control her dreams. I introduce people, i change the setting just by talking to her when she's asleep. She'll then wake up and repeat the dream exactly as i told it to her.

Quite creeepy.

IM LUCID DREAMING TONIGHT

Thats the spirit!:p

Tell yourself as your going to sleep that you will remember your dream and you will realize you are dreaming !

Post your lucid dream here tomorrow!

I managed to take the top off a super fit girl i work with in a lucid haha :D

The best lucid dreaming site on the net (imo ofc)

I had a dream where I went to a concert, and the band announced they would be playing new material. They played a bunch of songs which I was obviously making up as I went along in my head.

I woke up and remembered some of the lyrics, so I wrote them down! Now that is freaky :p

I have some really bad nightmares sometimes that seen so real.

Once i was dreaming and in my dream i sat up and looked out my bedroom window at home and a nuke had just gone off flattening everything, i then woke up and was sat up in bed!

After a heavy weekend i will try not to sleep which will make things worse and I start hullucinating, this is probably sleep deprivation aswell though

Does it count as a lucid dream when, your able to control your self, ie move, do things etc but not the dream world and you don't realise your in a dream?

Cause i get that quite a lot, its cool, but it's usually dream full of dangerous things, and when i do wake up im usually covered in sweat and just thankful i made it out of what ever hell hole it was alive, till i realise it was a dream :(

yeah, it's one of these dreams i remember having when i was a bout 8 still remember every detail, sound sight and smell, had it a few times every couple of years, when ever it starts i remember where i am, but not that I'm dreaming.

I've had some dreams like this, where one time i was in bed and thought im dreaming (in the dream) then suddenly woke up. I decided to go back to bed and the dream resumed and the same place, but not in the bed in the dream, i was outside like the day had moved on. And i remembered meeting people and things happened like i was controlling it as said above but it didn't last long then i woke up and i couldn't get back into the dream:(.

**I actually woke up twice and got back to the dream twice, but the first time i didn't think anything of it.
