mums just bought a laptop, not used a computer since 1890, calls me 5 times a day asking me questions, i answer them and alls ok until an hour later and she calls and says she forgot what i told her.
i need some software that allows me to take over her screen so i can see what im doing and talk her thru what im doing at the same time. you can only do so much on msn with a webcam and a mummy that has as much computer sense as a horse.
amyone please any suggestions.
i do love my mum btw ! :p

just tried this, seems amazingly simple that even my mum would know how to use it

il give this ago tomorrow

it really is very straight forward and you can install it permanantly on her pc so you can just dial in when you want to with your password

i use it all the time

Even better than the above options (but sadly not free) is Fog Creek Co-Pilot - designed for this kind of situation (non tech-savvy user being supported remotely). They even make it free on US mother's day.

TeamViewer or LogMeIn - I use LogMeIn for my PC, when I'm at 6th Form.

I've also got my Dad's machine at his place (I don't live with him) for when he needs help, as I never know where I'm going to be. Others I use TeamViewer, as and when - just leave the 'QuickSupport' on their drive and they launch it from there.

And RDP or VNC for local network.
