Im selling a couple of hardrives soon, ive formatted them both but i`d like to make sure there is no retrievable data left on them before selling if thats possible.

Are there any programs out there than can do this for me?

Just used it but not sure if it worked or not? This is the what it came up with:

I use a util called KillDisk, do a search, create a boot floppy and away you go, the free version only allow 1 pattern to be written to the disk but doing this twice should make the data unrecoverable as it writes this pattern to the entire disk.

That error message is caused either by a hard drive with bad sectors (as it says), or in my case a while back due to faulty RAM. Try doing one hard disk at a time, see if you can find a culprit that way.

That's what I use... seems to do the job well enough :)
