Removing magnetic tags?

thin nosed pliers, slighty bend the tag, exposing the pin and snip it

This. I bought a coat years ago and they didn't remove the tag (which I noticed once I got home), bent it back with a flat screwdriver and cut pin with pliers, job done.

I get this all the time when buying razor blades from the self service and forgetting to get someone to take them out the security case.

Leading to me prying it open, jumping on it, trying to find something heavy, giving up, throwing it, giving it to a mate and mostly giving up.

This works a treat:

I had a pair of shoes come with a tag on once, used a pair of side cutters to hack the plastic up and then just snipped the pin off.

happened to me once. I had brought a few jumpers from Tesco one of them still had a tag i believe i used a standard pair of wire snips, squeezing them tightly i manged to separate the two plastic pieces apart enough to cut the bar. took a few minutes with no damage to the jumper.

A finely focussed laser should do the trick. I understand a car alternator inline with the head unit from a BlueRay drive should do it. You'll blow all the relays but for a brief moment it should boost the laser to unimaginable destructive levels...

Either that or....

...would do the trick.

Obviously a video is needed if you choose either of these methods.

Reminds me of the time I bought 2 blu rays while I was out. The shop forgot to remove the security locks. After the 25 mile drive home I had to sit there with a screwdriver, knife, pliers etc to get them out. Managed it in the end tho
