Removing tar from paint ?

The shampoo i use (cant remember what it is tho) says to apply directly to paint without diluting it to remove tar... was doubtful but it worked a charm :D

Just applied a wee bit directly to another sponge and wiped till it moved :)

if you use LOADS of lubricant you can sometimes get away with it, but usually a polish afterwards is required if you're a perfectionist. I opt for a load of passes with a fine clay over an aggressive one.

here's a nice clay guide for anyone interested

Ahhh see I always polish afterwards, that'll be why. :) I never just claybar then leave it. Always clay and polish. :o

I clayed my car last week, worked a treat at getting everything off the paintwork that shouldn't have been there. Pretty idiot proof too. Just use pleanty of lube and don't linger too long ;)
