Removing wallpaper tips

Sponge lots of water onto it if it looks like it will absorb it then it should peel of nicely, thats how I did it recently anyway.

lol at iron lol giving me laughsss

could work though. I'll get my iron out then it is the paint on the wallpapered ceiling that is going to be tough.

What are your wallpaper removing techniques?

what can I get to speed up my process? (for all you chemists out there)
Slash up the paper with the scraper and use a steamer. The slashes help the steam get under the paper (and paint) and it lifts off more quickly.

I scrape criss cross slashes in a diamond formation with a stanley knife, then use a pump action water bottle sprayer to soak the paper then steam it off. Works a treat.

For the ceiling, i would attach a stanley knife to a broom stick and slash it that way. It's not nice working with your arms above your head for an extended amount of time.

But having a stanley knife stab you when it comes off said broom stick is? :p
