Livery is pretty shocking personally; it's far too cluttered and just looks like the sponsors logos have been placed without much thought. Similarly with the Total end plates, the red really doesn't go. But I suspect that was part of the deal and Total request the background to be red.
Have also heard the rumour about the front-blown diffuser, will be interesting to see if any other teams have done something similar.

The diffuser is much wider on these, I know the double diffuser has now gone but have they changed the width rules?

Too many stickers all over it.
Renault own 25% of Avtovaz, who own Lada. I presume this is the most recognisable of their brands outside of Russia so the one which gets plastered over the car.

get rid of the red and white bits and then you have a very nice looking car.
After a few looks, the shape is looking better/quite interesting.
Stand by my previous comment that the paint job has just failed though, bring back the yellow last year!

Good looking car with a hideous paint job. It looks nothing like JPS cars, has nothing to do with the JPS cars and is obviously just a pathetic attempt at getting one over on Team Lotus.
Even though it is so horrible looking it has nothing to do with the old TL cars, I hope they get done for subliminal tobacco advertising and can't race it. I heard something about the Canadians potentially freaking out about it?

Heh. It would be interesting certainly, if someone kicked off about it. Hell - their intention is to evoke the image of the John Player Special branding. That has to be as much 'subliminal advertising' as the ******* barcode on the Ferrari that got bitched about, surely?
Unless they can argue in court that it's supposed to be an homage to the Wolf Racing cars. Because it looks far more like the old colour scheme of those cars than it looks like a JPS Lotus....

Wouldn't Renault just use another livery for Montreal? Might be a bit of an arseache for them if was to be found illegal but i'd imagine they would change the livery for that race weekend.

Lots of interesting features on the car already, and more to come over the next few days/weeks.
Have a feeling it's going to be hit or miss though - will either work and be a real leap forward, or be unreliable and underperforming when it's concepts don't translate onto the track.

Petrov is not actually in the shot the OP posted. He's slightly off camera to the right holding the other side of the cover that Kubica is holding.
I had somehow managed to convince myself the same thing until I was corrected today.

Weird config. Only benefit I can see is the weight being shifted more to the front which is how last years Bridgestones worked best, not sure about the Pirellis yet.
