Ok this is awesome, albeit quite choppy. Set everything to min and its still choppy. Is everyone having that?

Runs solid for me they is a cap @62 fps though and I never change from 62fps in the time I spent playing it.

Yup, even with all settings at utter minimum.

Its not as bad as Arma 3 though.

I didnt play the original but looking at the video it looks good.
For an FPS though their seemed to be a hell of a lot of 3rd person in there?

It's nothing like c&c other than you will recognise units, its an FPS and very faithful to the original renegade.

its just boring been done a million times. nothing special graphics are bad hitreg is not good and not entertaining. its just like many other free to play games crap.

sorry that's my op and that's how i see it.

i love pure fps without the bs but if i want that id play cs , quake , unreal early cod 1/uo instead.

Did you play the original renegade? If not then that is probably why.

Maybe I've missed out, but what other fps games are out there that have the same type of base / building as part of the game?

For the people having issues with performance, what are your specs and driver versions. Im running 13.12? Whatever the last pre mantle patch was.

No real performence issues here. I know that a few people have been having problems launching the game, even from the launcher.. just make sure that you have the latest Direct X installed and your latest GFX drivers.. i'm running on max settings with no real issues.

This is so annoying, I am well into it, but can't really play. Its just odd like motion blur. The graphics, mouse everything seems unresponsive, no so much jerky al though there is a bit off that. Turned all the graphics down to min which helped a bit. Though perhaps its the mouse lag in win8 which people have talked about, all though don't suffer that in other games, but the common fixes haven't improved it at all.

Also updated gfx driver, but no change.

Is there any way to see if its using on board graphics, or graphics card.

I gave it a try too,Hitreg is terrible..don't know what the hell you have to do and its hard to tell enemy's apart from teammates.

Yeah the team mate omen is a bit hard. You need to destroy all their buildings. Or just who're points.

Team play is massively lacking. Haven't seen one tank rush yet. Yet pretty much every game in the old day, would have tank rush.
Flame tank rush on field map & with two apcs filled with engineers, use to work a treat.

Played it for a couple of days now, I really quite enjoy but I think infantry move too quickly with no momentum in changing direction, making gunfights extremely tedious to try and hit your opponent (not in a good way like Quake, given the limited weapons you have at any one time).

I feel the game seriously needs a commander/base building mode with slightly bigger maps so essentially one person on your team is playing C&C with the rest being your fps fodder to vaguely follow your orders.

Gameplay flaws aside, amazing fun for a free mod. Seems like a ton of effort went into it.

My performance issues have been completely fixed and been enjoying playing this properly for the first time...

I am finding spotting enemies quite difficult as the team colours are the same on either team, so friendlies are RED if you're on Nod...very confusing.

Sunk so many hours into renegade, even got up to 3rd on the ranking. Only game I've played more is SWG.
Although ISP must be getting up there now.

The first Renegade was a great idea but didn't quite work / look finished. Maybe too early for the hardware.

Going to give this a try later.
