Looking for suggestions to replace a Synology NAS. it has a single drive and backs up to a USB HDD and Syncs to Onedrive. I have had no end of issues with this synology NAS, duplicating files and adding synology to the file name. and issues with onedrive. Its just not very reliable and the web interface is slow. I only need to share file for 3 PCs, am i better going back to a PC for this. is Windows 10 Pro enough for sharing for 3 users or do i need Server Edition.

Anyone else not think they are up to much, or is it just me..

I dont want to goto any Linux Distros as am not famaliar with Linux and dont have time to be

    Is another NAS an option?
Could you add another drive for backups (negates the need for the USB HDD)

Its a Single drive unit, the backup isnt the problem its the stupid software duplicating files.. this could be onedrive app playing up not a fault with synology.. its just annoying as i wanted it to be a simple solution i could leave at my dads office and not have to worry about it. but i dont trust it

    Which model do you have?

I use multiple Synology systems everyday, never had issues with file duplication.

The 'J' series tend to be a lot slower.
