Yes. 10/100 only uses two pairs. Gigabit needs all four.
The cable might have a cut in it somewhere in the wall. Depending on your network card driver you can often do a TDR test that will give you more information than a basic cable tester.
Not just Sky unfortunately.Double-check that your patch cables have all the pairs as well, Sky routers for a while used to bundle a four-wire ethernet cable for some reason.
Didn't pick it up from your post, but you've tested each 'leg' of the thing separately, yes? E.g. you've tested master socket to bedroom, and then bedroom to living room, rather than the entire run at once?

Sorry you tested both legs and they both only get 100Mbps?
So the leg from the new living room socket to the bedroom is connecting at 100Mbps. The leg from the bedroom to the other living room point is connecting at 1Gbps.
They were about £4 each for the modules. They are made by Deta. Part no S1433How cheap and cheerful were the network faceplates? There is some nasty junk out there.
