So I'm looking at buying a new gaming PC and a lot of friends have said to buy a alienware area 51 but I wanted to get some advice before doing so.

So my budget is £3000 and it's gonna be 90% used for gaming. If the casing looks great thats a bonus. ;)

Thanks in advance

Hi

Are you able to build a pc yourself ?

Does your budget include a monitor, mouse and keyboard ?

What resolution are you looking to game at ? (I assume 1440p or 4k with this budget)

Any case that you have in mind ?

Thanks for the response,

I wouldn't be great at building my own. I think if I could get some guidance maybe on the pre built pack page ones but maybe changing a few fews if necessary.

I don't need a monitor or keyboard etc. Just the desktop.

Thanks again

If you don't feel comfortable building yourself, then ocuk can build you a pc to your own spec for a fee.

What monitor are you going to be using ?

Of course it is. It has three 4K displays in it and a single graphics card, which despite being a great graphics card, has about a snowballs chance in hell of driving them properly.

That is a resolution of 11520x2160!

Even four Titan X's couldn't max out a triple A title at that resolution with a constant and smooth frame rate with no unacceptable dips...

Now, if the spec had two Titan X's and a single 40" 4K display then fine. That would make much more sense.

Where did he say he wants to game on 3 4k monitors? If he does then yeah not a chance, 2 980tis wouldnt be enough. God knows why anyone wants 4k anyway at 60 hertz. 1440p all day long for me.

I have no idea what you are going on about...

I quoted that spec, and said "lol no" because it doesn't make any sense, I then went on to explain why.

I made no reference to what the OP has requested, I was merely discarding the spec with three 4K displays.

I've edited my post to include the full quoted post, to make it clearer... :)

Ohh right ok haha, I was just saying it wasn't a silly amount about the first post lol. I wasn't saying that about the 4k monitors, yeah thats silly.

What a confusion. You had me reading back through the thread thinking "hang on, what have I done now?" :p

Aaaaaaaaanyway..... I'll make a spec when I get home if I remember. :p

What exactly are you after in terms of monitors OP? 4K? 3x 144Hz 1080P screens? Ultrawide? :)
