The Megadrive is 9v and the MegaCD 10v but both have the same connector if I recall correctly. Just one to watch out for when you power the old girl up. :)

The cabinet is fantastic but you have to watch the weight on the middle shelf. I have now swapped the Xbox and Saturn around as the shelf was starting to bow from the weight of the lardy Xbox.:p

Any predictions/suggestions on what will become the rare/must have games from the 7th generation machines?

Mine is Demon Soul, sold under 2 million and only released on the playstation 3, with dark souls, dark souls 2 and likely bloodbourne having cult following, I can see Demon Soul vaule growing.. but with the Advent of PSN and PS Now, I'm not sure if its even worth collecting this generation.

I think only a few very select games will become rare.
Digital availability will most likely kill off any games that aren't collectors editions.

Always wanted one of these when i was a kid so thought i would treat myself -

Its in pretty good nick.

Also my fave arcade game of all time -

Case is a bit cracked but it didn't cost loads and it plays flawlessly !:D

I need to get into my boxes and see what MegaCD games I actually have, nothing as good as that from what I recall!

I rarely use it though as the Sega PSU is that large I can't have TV, MD and MCD all on a 4 way adaptor... :o

Oh lovely! What did that set you back. Final fight is brilliant

My cheapo megastive/mcd2 arrived, just waiting on a psu tonatrive tomoz to test it

The Megadrive and Mega cd was about £90 with around 8 games, 2 controllers and a few other bits.

Final fight was £18 shipped from the bay. And its awesome :D

Quite expensive these days but mk1's are getting rarer. Not bad deal with all the games

I have to hold out until tomorrow before I buy games in case mind doesn't work. If it does for £26 I am going to be WELL happy

annoyingly this MD2 says 10v on it and the connector is slightly smaller than the Megadrive 1 version. TYPICAL!

However the MD1 psu works with the MCD2.

New PSU for the megadrive should arrive in the morning....HURRRRY!
