Retro console and games thread

Same as mine.

That one linked above went for £72 in the end.

I paid £30 for mine and I got the Beo4 remote with mine as well. Which makes it a lot easier to set up. It also had a motorised stand.

I did have to collect from Stratford Upon Avon and I live in Tamworth.

A lot of sellers have cottoned on that retro gamers are seeking out good quality CRT's. I paid a total of £46 for my 3 broadcast monitors. My JVC cost me £1 and it's a phenomenal set. PVM's see to command high prices now even for dodgy battered units.

It's hard so say when you don't have a side by side comparison.

I'm happy with mine, the picture is great when you have the best output from the console you can get. Sound is also good because they do have decent speakers.

It's also the only way I could ever have anything B&O in my house.

Most of the recommended CRT TV's in the thread are Sony Trinitron.

Yeah I think your going to have to be prepared to travel. Just had a look on ebay myself and man there is not a lot available really. Look for stuff like Grundig and Loewe also. Those sets are not to bad.
