Just make sure you test the Pokemon Gold saves properly before spending hours playing... They use a battery that in most is now dead, but they can be replaced
How easy are they to replace? Mine died in silver and I haven't gotten round to seeing if i can fix it.

You can buy them on eBay, but I believe they require soldering to the game card (it's only a single solder point).

I have two complete sets ( one uk pal and one Jap)
I remember importing Samba De Amigo ver2k from liksang many a moon ago, It was definitely my party game of choice until Guitar Hero appeared.
Just to tip you off a bit... I'll probably be selling at least one set in the next week or so as I unfortunately need the space for when I move into my new flatKeep an eye on the MM

If you don't mind a bit of a bodge job, you can do it fairly easily.
Pry the two parts of the game cartridge apart
Remove the old battery (can't remember how it's connected, but I managed to remove it with no specialist tools)
Stick a new one in
Selotape it in place (or something to that effect)
Stick the two halves back together
Enjoy your game.

I remember seeing those a while back, although not sure if anyone picked one up. If you do get one, let us know what you think, I was always half tempted to pick one up to replace my aging SNES, but never got round to it.
I have both US and UK games, so the fact people seem to suggest it works fine for BOTH is a bonus.
How much did that lot set you back? What games you playing on her?
