Retro console and games thread

Decided to treat myself to some pokemon action, since I've never played 1 of them before.

Got a load of free games with the gameboy as well

I have two complete sets ( one uk pal and one Jap) :p

I remember importing Samba De Amigo ver2k from liksang many a moon ago, It was definitely my party game of choice until Guitar Hero appeared.

Just to tip you off a bit... I'll probably be selling at least one set in the next week or so as I unfortunately need the space for when I move into my new flat :( Keep an eye on the MM

cool will do.

Not sure if any of you guys have seen these

Looks great, I am tempted to get one but am wondering if I will get charged import tax as they seem to be from the USA ebay

3 consoles in 1, less space, less wires etc :D

You can buy them on eBay, but I believe they require soldering to the game card (it's only a single solder point).

If you don't mind a bit of a bodge job, you can do it fairly easily.

Pry the two parts of the game cartridge apart
Remove the old battery (can't remember how it's connected, but I managed to remove it with no specialist tools)
Stick a new one in
Selotape it in place (or something to that effect)
Stick the two halves back together

Enjoy your game.

I remember seeing those a while back, although not sure if anyone picked one up. If you do get one, let us know what you think, I was always half tempted to pick one up to replace my aging SNES, but never got round to it.
I have both US and UK games, so the fact people seem to suggest it works fine for BOTH is a bonus.
