US: Revolution

Afraid to say I'm hooked now, episode 3 weren't anything great but with no more TWD I need something to watch on a Friday night, the other half seems to be enjoying it as well which is unheard of for her

Just watched the third episode to give it one more try. It is really.......really awful.

Nothing makes any sense.

It is so badly written and the characters are so one dimensional...or just plain stupid. When you compare the writing and characters in Game of Thrones to this, this seems like it was written by a child.

I was annoyed from the the first 5 minutes though as the planes cartwheeled from the sky with their lights still blinking.

I try not to think about it that hard, it has a few actors in it that are great, the lead dude, gus fring, the apple guy. Although it has that irritating face woman from lost.
It's getting more interesting in the second season and we found out what is causing the problem. It fills a gap at the moment where no other similar shows exist.

you mean after the mid-season break we're still on season 1

edit: and with the way that last episode went I'm praying my suggestion on the previous page becomes reality, when it comes down to it yeah she's hot but the character is just meh!

+1. I sat through 2 episodes of this and couldnt do any more.

Its 15 years without power and everyone is perfectly clean? And has clean clothes in perfect condition? Everyone should be filthy.

Its also hard to care about the main character (the teenage girl) when she is the stupidest character on the show, and should have died halfway through episode 1 due to stupidity/naivete(sp?).

Evolution is childish and insulting to viewers in the way that characters make poor decisions and live, even prosper. I hate it, nowhere near brutal enough for me.

JJ Abrams should have watched Book of Eli for a semi-believable apocalyptic future.

The only scene in the 1st episode I liked, was when there was a flashback to the girls mother shooting a would-be thief to protect her childrens food.

rant over. :p

It gets more brutal as it goes tbh you need to get around eps5-7 in order to get there though.

Haven't watched any episodes since the mid season break. Any better now? If they didn't have the intrigue of what and how the blackout happened I would have turned off ages ago.
