REYLAND Escort - Version 2 Rebuild Pics

It's been a while since I posted on here due to a couple of reasons and the last post has disappeared so i'll start this post again and try and make sure it doesn't get lost!!!

Ther original reyland escort cosworth was destroyed in a huge accident during the 2004 gumball rally :eek:

Martin made the decision to build a better, faster, & higher spec compnay car!

And so the new project began:-

take 1 brand new escort cosworth motorsport shell and add a proper weld in roll cage , seam welding , RHD bulkhead , remove the fuel cap & spare wheel well and add a few more tweaks

some of the doubters claimed it was just the old car repaired but this proves that wasn't the case

the shell was modded to allow the special gearbox to be fitted

and talking of gearboxes this is what the escort will be using...a nissan skyline OS GIKEN 6 SPEED SEQUENTIAL GEARBOX...cost is 6.5k+vat for just the basic box

underneath of car is all prepped up as is the engine bay. rear arches have been slightly widened to allow wider rubber

finally the custom Reyland made skyline/cosworth gearbox bellhousing is ready as well

They cut the bulkhead out of the old reyland escort and welded it in or did i read (also going by the pictures of the old one cut up) that wrong?

FINALLY the inside/outside/underneath is sprayed with the base coat silver and the wrc wings are done
