I tried the demo of this last night.. Not sure. I've been playing Grand Prix 4 and Gran Tourismo for years, I play GP4 with the 2007 mod and various other add ons to make the game look better and handle better etc and its excellent.

I also play Dirt, and Grid a lot. Not too keen on Dirt 2, its ok and I hated NFS shift.

This felt, well a bit empty... I don't know, the game drove perfectly fine, easy to pick up, very hard to master. Might give it another go, but with Grand Prix 4 2007 mod, F1 2010 around the corner and GT5 as well - might skip this..

And, I have no idea how to get the 2009 F1 season, I found FSONE 2009 but I guess you'll need the full game, but is that a full 2009 season? Can you play single player? Or online only?
 
Search for F1RFT2009 and FSOne2009. Updates and trackpacks for all and you'll be sorted. Plenty of people play those mods at the moment.

I'm on quite regularly as "Wit" on either :)
 
The mod were using at the moment in F1 2010 PE. See the OP for links to Downloads

Its not just an F1 game, its more of a simulator that has 100's of mods for all types of racing and even more tracks. The community is always releasing new mod/tracks. I recently saw a Go-Kart mod.

As an F1 game I can totally see your point but as a simulator for all types of racing it may be worthwhile. Plus its great fun online.
 
Fo some reason I can't login to the web-console and/or upload files. I'll see if Log1k can sort the other tracks when he's back off holiday.

I'll be on and off all weekend.

i have been on a few times.just getting use to the spa track and the mod itself.I normally drive with all the help settings on low so its hard to drive with everything off apart from gears and clutch.But then again its good to put in a lap after 10spinouts:D may see u on the server.
 
Bonjour all, so you got Suzuka working in the end.

John, if you want to upload tracks - do it via the FTP. The details are the same as the normal web panel. Same IP just use port 21.

Fastest time on Spa was 1:49.502 just before I left on Thursday morning.

I'll be back on Monday week.
 
Trying to join now but as soon as I get in it says connection lost?

edit ok its working now but im getting kicked for not having suzuka. DL it now.

Also I suck at manual still!

While I made changes to the setup to include "auto-clutch" I cannot allow Auto Gears, this would undermine F1 in general :)

It won't take long to get used to, it's simple, if it's hits the limiter it's time to change up :)
 
Not sure if anyone is still using the server but i'll update anyway.

New tracks uploaded.
Turkey.
Malaysia.
Monaco.

Tracks are on the server and the config file is updated but not uploaded as had no time to test last night. I'll get the new config file uploaded and tested tonight. Hopefully before 9ish. I'll update when done and provide download links for the new tracks.
 
My wheel is in a mood again, it just fully locks left sometimes when I'm bombing it down a straight. Can't really race with it tonight, maybe it'll calm down tomorrow.
