US: Rick & Morty

It wasn't the worst episode, but it definitely needed a B plot with other characters alongside this.

But since we're dusting off one note characters for episodes I look forward to the resurrection of Coachferatu next year.

As if now C4 have S7 EPs 4 to 8 on demand - they drop off after 30 days.

Netflix tend to get the whole series not long after the broadcast run is complete.

Sweet I'll give them a watch. Not sure which episode I last watched. Had a nice part where someone lived a whole life in a little montage. Was one of the better episodes I saw recently

It was nice to have another episode without Rick. The other characters were fun. The daftness was dialled up to 11, but the same is true for the Pickle Rick episode, and everyone loved that one.
It wasn't an episode with a lot of clever jokes or a complicated plot. It was more like Interdimensional Cable, just wackiness for its own sake.
Overall I didn't see too much to actively dislike. It was funny, and I watched it again the day after, and enjoyed it again.

Exactly what made it garbage for you?

I don't think they were trying to win any Oscars with that ep. It was literally, "Let's do something different and totally daft and take a break from the usual Rick-centric episodes this one time."

I can see how people would be disappointed that it didn't feature Rick at all, or that it was completely ott with the swearing and the gangsta culture. It was clearly taking the pee out of the rap scene.

I just didn't think there was all that much to get upset about. It was enjoyable taking it for what it was. Complete nonsense in the R&M style ;)

e: If you want a total garbage episode, the one with the train and Story Lord is my pick for that.

It's the only episode of R&M where i have started scrolling my phone :(

For me, they tried something different and it just didn't work. But i'm old, different tastes and all that :)

That episode was all over the place, and really make shred sense of a didn't.

Why does Rick get his assed kicked in melee combat with an ape?
Why does the Pope have infinite power after Rick syphons the power for himself? Why doesn't Rick have the infinite power instead?
Why would Rick give infinite power to the Pope?

I mean sheet it's a silly cartoon and all, but some bits of it have to make a bit of sense occasionally. This episode seemed to have no internal logic at all.

I thought this was great! Lol moments and yes it was all over the place, but this made it more manic and funny for me :)

1. Rick got his ass kicked because he wanted Bigfoot to kill him.

2/3. He didn't give infinite power to the Pope - the Pope hacked Ricks computer and stole the inf power.

Were you on your phone per chance or distracted some other way when watching? ;)

Nuh uh. For point (1) I'm referring to the time they meet again after getting back from Valhalla. Not the first time where he literally stands still and lets it happen, because he wants it to happen. He clearly does not want to die the 2nd time, and gets his ass kicked for no apparent reason. We know he's a damn walking tank, but Bigfoot takes him down effortlessly, until he's begging for his life... very out of character.

(2) During the Pope's hack, he says only a being with infinite power could hack his computer (iirc). So the Pope already had the infinite power by then.
