Ride demo

Opted for the Ducati as my first bike, the Triumph is a much better bike on spec so where's the fun in using that?
The underpowered little twin get's annihilated on the longer straights, however it corners and brakes well to you ride to it's advantages

Spent the evening and this morning (about 9-10hrs all in all) going through all the races for this bike, now time to sell her and upgrade.

Great little starter bike once goodies are added.

My ONLY gripe is with the loading times, even on my SSHD it is the slowest loading game I've experienced in a LONG time.
Unless I'm missing something there is no option to instal/load the game data to the SSHD upfront!?

I wonder if that will change on the Xbox ONE version when it comes out.

I'm absolutely loving "Ride" on PS4....however the loading times are truly ridiculous despite having a SSHD...there is no way of installing the game data to HD so every time you change track or event it has to load from scratch...same again after each track or event when you want to go back to menu, or change bike or next race selection..... If the load times are better on the Xbox ONE version I'll be getting it on that too.....honestly they are that SLOOOOOW....... MEGA GAME Though

Next group of races, again I choose one the slowest bikes in class...had some incredible races.

Also bought this, one of the best sounding bikes so far (they all sound pretty good tbh):

Looks good, my copy should arrive tomorrow. Really enjoyed the demo, but like you mentioned the load times were a bit long, hope it doesn't ruin the game.

Really enjoying it so far after a quick play. Lots of customisation and have been having a few good battles in the first race. Just need to give my monster a few more ponies.

Seems to be a definite disconnect between the bikes/riders and the scenery in my opinion. Almost looks like they are photoshopped on :(

From a quick Google it seems to be getting pretty bad reviews as well. Might download the demo and see for myself. I have been wanting a decent motorbike racer for ages.

I honestly don't notice that, the racing is so fast paced and frantic, that you're typically focused on setting up the next corner.

Its easily the best bike racer I have played for handling, getting a 'real' feeling of a bike is probably near impossible, without having a handlebar controller and a counter steering affect... Playing on Pro handling with no aids makes some of the more powerful bikes pretty interesting!

Overall, its a great game for any bike fan, plenty of lovely machines and great bits of kit to add on; to both bike and rider.

Not read any reviews myself, but it certainly needs a bit of time and effort to learn how to ride, maybe that's where negative reviews are coming from? Oh, and load time suck :(

Downloaded the demo. Can barely get around the track! Bikes just won't turn or change direction in the way I know bikes can (I'm a biker). The sensitivity on the left stick is ridiculous and it is really noticable when using views where you look over the bars as they flap around in front of you and it is nigh on impossible to keep them still!

After 6 laps I was getting better but the bike still felt like a supertanker. I guess I just need to figure the controls out properly for the best input style or tweak the race options. I will see if turning off traction control makes a difference. Came last in every race I had tonight and ended up binning the bike a fair few times too.

The handling is fine, once you get used to it/tweak the suspension - it will never feel like a real bike though; think my RL Ducati would be in every ditch, if it handled like Ride :D

Personally I raise the rear ride height to get a better turn in, if/when you upgrade the suspension, you can then change the damping to help - deffo lose TC IMO, and all other aids.

I just saw something today on the issue, saying it was linked to progression up the leaderboard once you get into the top 100. Is this what's happened to you?

Undecided on this, never had a bike game before, I really should download the demo and see how it is.
