the way i overtake i normally give shed loads of space, so much so that the car i pass is in my rear view mirror or can be seen far back in the wing mirrors, since I normally hog the outside lane in rush hour anyway I only really change lanes to the left to turn off in which case i know which car i've passed, know which is in front, still look left, and the only other way a car could be there is if it popped up out of nowhere like magic.
If I was munching motorway miles I would like that feature, as a gadget more than anything like 'look its flashing!'
