Yes it does though.
I'd argue that it puts you at MORE risk - Town/slow driving vehicles not paying attention, loads of distractions, slower = less perceived threat... all while on local roads that you think you know like the back of your hand, which usually means you'll be a bit complacent too.

I totally respect those that decide to wear all gear at all times, but personally I simply can't be fathomed to get a full suit on to go 600m to Waitrose.
Honestly, I'd probably have walked that distance before you'd even finished suiting up!
