Howdy there, i’m looking for some advice in terms of upgrading my rig. I’m currently running a Ryzen 5 2600 cpu, zotac 2060 super gpu, 16gb ddr4 3200 corsair vengeance ram, gigabyte b450m gaming motherboard (micro atx, 2 dimm slots), 500gb ssd, a 650 watt un-certified psu and an old deep cool micro atx case. I am looking to move onto a mid atx tower and upgrading cpu however, my motherboard is becoming outdated and need some suggestions. I’m playing with around £400. Thanks.
B450s should support Ryzen 5000 series in a few months, so if you are not in a hurry you wan just move the build into a bigger case and then upgrade. I have a similar rig (5700xt) on a 1080p 144hz and don't see a reason to upgrade any time soon, but if I was going to upgrade, I would definitely go for a new motherboard (something like a MSI B550-A PRO) and then grab a new cpu if you still wanna do AMD. If you are playing at 1440p or 4k then focus on the GPU upgrade first.
