Right address, wrong recipient.. Royal Mail. To the internet!

Had some headphones sent to my work address, which is a building with many offices (and many receptions) most of which share the same address.

Royal Mail SD delivered said headphones to the address, but I don't recognise the signature of the ePoD.. I've run RM and they are sticking to their guns of "It was delivered" and so are the shop. I've been to every office/reception and none have my headphones (or just haven't admitted to having them.)

Have I just had £150's of headphones nicked? :(

More a rant/moan than a question, I guess.
 
Ring again and explain to them that they didn't deliver it and you will be issuing a claim with them.

Sounds like someone where you work has claimed themselves some freebies.

I had my 40" Samsung sent to my old work addy in Aberdeen, only problem i had was the receptionist trying to tell them to take it to the stores entrance.

If its RM you can arrange to have your parcels held at the collection office, then just nip in and pick them up...
 
Most probably nicked, I had a mobile delivered to my home when I was home working, signed for with a squiggle by someone, needless to say it never arrived.

Company name was on the package as well.. was kinda hoping the driver wouldn't deliver to a different company, ya know? Told RM about this but they're not budging as the physical address is the same for most of the companies in this building.

Nowt to do with the shop, you need to arrange it with your local PO if you want them to do that, they'll either hold it at the main PO collection point, or you can have them deliver it to your closest PO. Then you can just nip in and pick up your parcels.

But even if you didn't when they tried to deliver it to your home addy you would have been carded and been able to pick them up from your local PO.

Might be worth looking into if you are going to be getting a lot of packages when there is no one in. :)

That's what I do rather than get them sent elsewhere, that way you know for sure that you're the only one that should sign for it.

The problem you have is a moral one really, do you drag them through the coals for delivering the item as requested when you have no idea who could, would or might have signed for it.

I hope you get it found or something but I would seriously never get anything like that delivered to a place you have no authority in and don't know who might be signing for it.
 
The question you need an answer to is this:

Is a special delivery deemed to have been properly delivered if the postman didn't acquire the signature of the named recipient?
