Right lets talk everyone - are we all just been psychologically tricked into "needing" new graphics cards?

With regards to VR I've been told that VR chat takes up all the VRAM you can throw at it so if Intel or AMD were to release a mid-range card with 32 or even 64 GB VRAM then that would sell like gangbusters to that market.
