Best suggestion I've got is using a thin stip of paper, roll it up loosely and let it unroll inside the ring, pencil mark where it overlaps, measure the distance from the end to the pencil mark and tell them what that measurement is (internal circumference) and ask if they can do it from that info.

Try here best you will get short of going to a jeweller. If you can check the ring yuo are replacing the ring size (unless it has been resized) should be on it.
